This is the A4 version of the ninth edition of Perrys Guide to the Isle of Wight and is the first time that this version, previously only sold to public bodies and utilities, has been put on general sale. It is also the first to feature colour maps and computer-based mapping. Sadly Roy Perry’s hand-drawn maps could not be adapted to the new format but the character of his original work has been retained. Perry's is still the only guide to label the Island footpaths and rights of way. The Isle of Wight has a unique network of paths, bridleways, etc. and we should like to gratefully acknowledge the help and support we have received from the Rights of Way department of the Isle of Wight Council.
This edition carries no adverts and lacks much of the information contained in the companion A5 edition. Those wishing for more information about the Island should look at that version.
