Perry's Guide has become an Island institution and this is the ninth edition. This is also the first edition to feature colour maps and the first to adopt computer-based mapping. Sadly Roy Perry’s hand-drawn maps could not be adapted to the new format but the character of his original work has been retained. Perry's also remains the only guide to label the Island footpaths and rights of way. The Isle of Wight has a unique network of paths, bridleways, etc. and the Rights of Way department of the Isle of Wight Council have helped enormously with this.
Perry's also contains much more general information about the Island and its services so that it can remain what it always has been, the indispensable guide to both visiting and living on the Isle of Wight. We hope that whether you are a resident or a visitor you will derive the same enjoyment from Perrys that we have in putting this new edition together.
